Just finished April today.

Is anyone else looking forward to doing Aunt?

Okay, first of all, that picture was SO helpful! Secondly, here is Alice and half of Ann. Hoping to finish Ann tonight, so I can be ready for the next 2 tomorrow. It would be really nice to be caught up when the new thread is posted tomorrow.

huskyquilter! Love your prints on these two! I'm going to use whatever I have on hand. I finally got my book and started my first two blocks Saturday, but not done with them yet.

Well I finally finished Alice and she was a bear! I must say the Clover clips really helped me here. Hope to finish Ann tonight. I don't know why the purple fabric has lines in it. Must be that the scanner needs to be cleaned.

Love the colors with your blocks Husky..

Pam, Your fabrics are so pretty,

Remember to leave a little bit more fabric on the outside edges to that your blocks will still have the points & your 1/4" seam after trimming the edges. you can use a fabric glue stick to hold the fabric in place so it won't shift.

Honchey, are you saying to cut the fabric past the dotted cutting line a little bit?I have been trimming to the dotted line.

I trim to the dotted line only of the seams that are going to be joined to another section.. I leave a little extra fabric on all the dotted lines of the outside edges, which will be the perimeter of the block.. I will trim the block making sure my points are not cut off.. there are times I need that little bit extra for the points to get the desired measurement..

I just had to rip out a section cause there was something wrong with a point..it was 1/2 gone..my sewing on the line was good and after I opened the seam I could see that the fabric wasn't pressed right.. so I had to re-press the fabric making sure it was folded all away from the thread line.. then after re-sewing the seam my point was 1/4" away from the dotted line..YAY!

Finished Ann tonight! I notice when I post a picture the colors don't look as vivid as they do in reality. And those weird lines are showing up in the pieces too. Oh well, I might get it straightened out by the time we do the last one haha.
