To answer a few questions, she was living in Ilinois and spent the whole winter working on her quilt, thank you for suggesting I make a label for it..checking with my sister for the correct year I think - 1974-75 not sure, and the quilt is on a standard size mattress and quilt measurements are approx. 84" X 94". It has a 15-1/2" drop on sides.
Here is a couple close up photos. Thank you all for you kindness, my Mother would be so pleased that you all liked her work.

Thank you very much, Judy. So, so beautiful... I really love the embroidery!

I admire her patience and the craftsman quality.

Best regards.

What a gorgeous quilt as well as a wonderful keepsake from your mother. My mother made quilts, but they were utilitarian and were used up, but I feel fortunate to have a set of pillowcases that she embroidered. She didn't teach me to quilt, however, she did teach me embroidery when I was 6 and sewing a couple years after that. I wish she could have seen all the family reunion quilts I have made over the last 20 + years as most of my family think they are very special.

I have made many quilts for myself and I use them.
