ELISABRAT's FALL or HALLOWEEN TABLERUNNER/TABLE MAT SWAP!!

Cool idea DustysMomma- Sure would be fun to SHARE - even if Brat doesn't want to. Kind of like a pen pal exchange with lots of partners.
Kiffie- you can wake me up anytime- I can fall asleep at the drop of a pin - no worries about interrupting things.

I am finally finished and Cheesehead Jan and I will be mailing tomorrow.....nervous.....hope she likes it. I would like to suggest that we all post our pictures in a picture file - just a picture and who your partner was. Then we can come back here and give all our great comments. I am so afraid I am not catching all the ones posted, and 75 pages is too much for me to scan. What do you think?

Oh and I like the idea of a table runner that runs around the world. It could be just a happy day quilt - one that would make you smile no matter what time, weather, or situation you found yourself.

Once again Brat, you and your great sense of humor make me laugh..
I love the special occasion runner idea...at the risk of sounding like Brat (no offense, I come in pieces, er peace. It's a compliment actually).
What happens if for some reason the runner gets "stuck" somewhere? I mean "stuck" as in no one hears of nor sees it again? Now I know none of our wonderful group are like that! But what if a "mole, er I mean rat fink" sneaks in? I know it's a runner..not one of our family members (well, that may not be a necessarily bad thing with some family...just sayin'). So, just wondering how we would handle that? Especially if said runner had already traveled 'round and seen lots of "action"... A posse' sent out after it? Walk the plank (somewhere, drought here..no rain to make ocean/lake to float ship with plank) A call to Dr. Phil to have a show on " People who are supposed to share and return...yet DON'T!" Clue dramatic music with gasps.
See? A compliment to ya, Brat!
Marti, your posting pics and comments sounds like a plan..someone will have to "school" yours truly in how to do that, however..
Kif
PS I told y'all I would give ya a rest in the night...no promises about day..what's worse is I can't blame this "interesting?" post on middle of the night ramblings...uh-oh...

I know- I know- instead of trading runners throughout the year, we can just team up and take trips to each others houses
Oh Brat- how about you taking the list and make an itinerary for us
A group of two at a time- visit during good weather time of the year and shop hop, slumber party and share
That way, the runners stay safe with their owners, travelers learn geography, how to share in other homes, and make wonderful new friends
We could end up in a central location and have a grand retreat !!!!!

I knew you were a smart cookie, Sap!!! I would like to visit where it rains and or snows please..yep, that's me "gloom and doom" Kif. I love rain especially.. I am in the upper panhandle area of Texas (OK, now y'all can use that as an excuse not to visit me..instead of worrying I will ramble all night). We used to have all 4 seasons.. last few years drought so bad.. I miss Spring, I especially miss Fall weather.. It's mostly 90-100+ degrees, or it's freezing, and still sunny..fools ya, til you get outside and that ole sun is shining but it's 20 degrees. We do get snow, but more often than not snow comes with 50+ mph wind and huge drifts out in the "boonies" where I am.
Yet it's home...and in spite of my grousing, I love it! We have flat open plains, see for miles, stunning sunsets..and Palo Duro Canyon is less than 30 minutes from me! And it actually rained 2 nights ago!! A "gully washer".. I was in heaven...

kiffie2413 - my hubby's family is from Sweetwater, Abilene, La mesa area. Open plains bring interesting combinations. If we get blizzard in, more time for story telling
I grew up in mid-west- IN, OH, IL. When hubby and I married, I moved with him to FW area in TX. Sure missed the change of FOUR seasons
Now retired to NW AR and love seasons again
So Brat- are you taking requests for travel yet ? We could all tell you our wish list of favorite places to visit
And kiffie- no worries about rambling - ask Yosamitesa about me- she can tell stories
We could even charter a plane for the overseas trips. Wonder if we could carry all the machines, scissors, needles and rotary cutters and still get through security points ?

Oh Sapdoggie you have some good idea's. We do not have very many quilt shops in my neck of the woods but there is still things to see and do. I am halfway done quilting my runner and plan on finishing it mid week.

Oh my!!! I received this AWESOME table runner from Oksewnsew. It's perfect!!! I love the colors; sunflowers and pumpkins are my favorites!! She also sent a candle mat that I love!! My sister was visiting from Oklahoma this weekend - so I had to check her suitcase to make sure she didn't put it in. I think it is just perfect and I know you will too!!

Pink Lady- I think your place should be our first stop After all, your hubby has the plans half done and should be ready for us to visit next year.
Oksewnsew- that is gorgoeous! I know why your partner had to keep her eye on it.
