It looks great BUT... I don’t think the math will work.

The Headless Geese are RAW 4-1/2” long by 2” high.
They will finish in the quilt 4” x 1.5”

The HST and individual Squares we cut sewn together as a4 patch (and the 4patches) will finish 3” in the quilt. So unless there is something in between theHST...like a 1.5” cut (1” finished) piece then the Headless Geese won’t worknext to the 4patches.
I don't think the four patches will be there (nor the centers as shown), but I am rooting for this placement of the geese.

It's all just guesses at this point. It will be a wonder if she shows us something in the reveal that no one has guessed... No point in worrying about the santa hats being cut or not cut. Just wait and see! Whatever it is, we all trust that it will be good. Bonnie Hunter always puts together a pretty quilt.

I'm tired of making so many of everything. Just finished Clue 3 and trimmed all 120 of my 4-patches last night... ugh. So glad that part is behind me as trimming isn't my favorite. I should say 'trimming and extending', as some of my seams had to be picked out and made narrower for the squares to measure 3.5". I think I failed Clue 3, fabric-wise. Some of my neutrals don't seem to contrast enough with some of my yellows. Oh well... not changing anything at this point. Worst case scenario: It will be a quilt!

I'm in on the mystery quilt this year too! I haven't posted in this section yet as I am usually busy ogling the vintage machine section.

I finished my four patches this morning but still need to cut my rectangles. I'm sure I will have that done before Friday's clue.

I was a bit uncertain about my gold color choices but once I mixed them around just a bit and see them all together I think they will be ok.

Such a great variety of fabrics, sewbizgirl!

Christy, your golds look great. There are all sorts of shades people are using. It will be so interesting to see the different quilts.

I have finished sewing my four patches. Tomorrow -- pressing and trimming (not too much trimming, I hope).

I just finished sewing my four patches too, but doubt I get a chance to press and trim tomorrow.

I'm in love with everyone's 4 Patches! I just think I really just love that I'm using my cheddars!

I don't think we'll cut the Santa hats. The "Hot Cross Buns" idea is my fav! I checked out the site someone suggested with the bow. To me it does not look like our block so I'm guessing not a bow (though I did once think I'd use my cheddars on a bow quilt). I took a screen shot and zoomed in (if this is the block) what do all y'all think?

You ladies make me laugh with your speculations on layout. Me? I have no desire to even try to figure it out, but I will say I doubt we'll be cutting the Santa hats. It's all a big mystery. The weekly clues are mysteries. That's what I love about the whole process.

I'm loving everybody's work and fabrics and wishing I stuck with the reds and golds. There will be some real beauties coming out of this.

Here are my "gold" and neutral 4 patches.
