If you are on Instagram follow @sewnwithgrace, she has a quilt that uses Santa hats, they form a bow tie shape. I can't post pic here since it's not mine, but check it out!

Finally I am done with clue #2. I also was able to cut my golds today and match with neutrals, so I think I may have a chance of actually finishing clue #3 before clue #4 is up (that would be a first for me, finishing a clue on time).

I'm kind of aghast at the thought of cutting the geese in half, as I chose those neutrals with the idea of the matched sets in mind. Some of them are quite dark, so I hope they work out!

Your Santa hats are beautiful! And I agree about cutting them apart. I hope we don't do that.

I hope we don't cut the santa hats in half. I looked mine over, and I'm going to have points in the wrong place if that happens. I'm leaning towards that upper gap not being important to line up with anything else - OK - I'm hoping that is the case or I may be adjusting many of those blocks.

Me too, me too 😀 I didn't worry about the pointless points at all.

I looked up sewnwithgrace and sure enough there was that trapezoid thingy looking pretty and making a bow.

This is from Bonnie's Quiltville page. Is it okay to post a Facebook link? (I don't know how this would work for someone not on Facebook). I like this placement of the red. I think it makes it stand out and looks quite 'tile-ish'. I wonder if the center will be in more red and gray, or with the HSTs as shown, or maybe with some black?

I was able to click on the FB link and saw the picture.
It looks great BUT... I don’t think the math will work.

The Headless Geese are RAW 4-1/2” long by 2” high.
They will finish in the quilt 4” x 1.5”

The HST and individual Squares we cut sewn together as a4 patch (and the 4patches) will finish 3” in the quilt. So unless there is something in between theHST...like a 1.5” cut (1” finished) piece then the Headless Geese won’t worknext to the 4patches.

That is AWESOME! I'm sure you are very proud
We've been ND fans our whole lives...50+ years... my nephew graduated from ND about 3 years ago (he played Sax in the band & was President his Senior year).

If you haven't, try to attend at least ONE game while he is there -- it is an amazing experience and one of the best campuses in the country!

GO IRISH!!
