I'm very interested in this thread as I'm on the verge of ordering a Brother PC420PRW. It has all the features I want, but I've never had a computerized machine before. Love my vintage Kenmores, but I want to move on to quilting, monogram and fancy stitches! This machine hasn't been mentioned here. Anyone have it? And also, I don't have a Brother dealer nearby so would have to order online (allbrands or Amazon). Where do I go for service? Thanks for any advice.

I own the Brother Laura Ashley Innovis 2000 and I absolutely love it! Haven't had any problems other than operator error! LOL! I've been sewing almost 3 yrs (I know a newby) but it was easy to learn to use and I had a friend who's been sewing forever help me compare them all and I definately got a whole lot more features for the money.

I have the Bro 3000 which i bought from a demonstrater in 2001, and then came the 4000 model, brand new at 3qrters of the price, and had very little trouble with either. Have no intention of updating to the later models, I love what I have. Also bought the large-frame quilters setup from hoop-it-all for the 4000, and I think it's better than the ones the more expensive machines have as I can use all four sides

Imnywoman - that little bit of thread in the works was probably the problem in the first place, as that happens with all these machines. Let's know how you get on

    Cheers all....

Well, I finally visited a sewing machine dealer and found exactly what I wanted. I brought home a BabyLock Elizabeth. She's a beauty and has all the features I wanted and thought I couldn't afford. I'm looking forward to starting a sewing project this weekend. A coworker asked for some pillow cases. Just hoping I have some fabric to co-ordinate with the fabric she gave me. Christmas gifts to be made this summer!
