He took me into the house and I was worried I was going to see some illegal plants...he opened the back door and there in front of me was ten acres of parsley!
We still have a laugh about the herb garden whenever we meet.
that is just funny...parsley...that is like a yard full of weeds..hehehe

Perennials are coming back and annual seeds are started!

Can't wait for a GOOD tomato with some basil, EVOO and balsamic.

If I had room for fields, I would do one of Lavender and one of Kentucky Colonel Blue Spearmint...hubby wants the yard to just be MINT..he loves the smell when it is cut and says mowing would a lot more fun..hehe

Oh, lavender!!!!!!!!!! I made some lavender soap last year, smells so good, but NOT pretty, lol! One of my favorite scents! I want a mint yard too. We have catnip growing by the front door, because one of my male cats always tries to sneak outside. If he gets out, its eay to catch him, he is upside down, under the catnip, in a DAZE!

when making lavender soap, less is MORE...and cuter..
here is the secret..I usually charge for this info...add the lavender buds at the very end before pouring into your mold..then stir it around while in the mold..just before you add the buds..run a rolling pin over them to crush them..this releases the oils faster, so you need less of it!

I am doing lovage again this year...I just love it in soups/stews...and it is a pretty impressive plant in the garden..of course keeping the bunnies off of it is work, but I always seem to win!
