Like MacyBaby I need to know what you used to strip the paint off.

And it's not nice to make us wait to see the machine. Not nice at all.

That is beautiful wood. Why people messed them up by painting them I just can not understand.

Is that a really early Singer treadle? Looks like it might have great big boat shuttle plaques on the side.

Looks to me like you really wrecked a great paint job......Someone was proud of that paint job.....

so, last night I ran out of steam and the ONLY thing left above the deck to clean was the inside of the bonnet.

It looked whitewashed (brown is from me cleaning the outside)


My daughter said she could imagine the machine saying "OH MY, My house looks so wonderful, so clean and shiny, everything but inside my room...." I lost it in giggles. They would not put the lid over the machine as is.

SO, this morning I began with round one.


Mostly clean.

the pitman after


The inside of the bonnet after Howards feed and wax.


the legs needed a repaint after the strip and they are drying now.
