This is one of the most amazing before and after I have ever seen! The Mother of Pearl is awesome. Well Done!

Steve,

Elma is absolutely amazing! I'm sure we've all heard of those who have a "calling" for some mission or occupation. You and your daughter truly had a calling on this machine. I've never seen one that beautiful! I would be afraid to sew with it for fear of ruining the beautiful finish. The work you did on the wood is beyond belief! Oh, if only these machines could talk! I will never understand why anyone would "paint" that wood -- it's beautiful! Looks like cherry to me, but I can't be sure -- I'll bet you are sure! My husband built custom wood cabinets. They were unbelievable, too!

I'm on the floor! That is the most beautiful machine I've ever seen. Love my 1941 Singer 15 but wow!

Ooooooooh.

Just re-enacted the 'I'll have what she's having' scene from When Harry Met Sally.

Belated happy birthday!

When I read the first part of your post, I was horrified at what someone had done to the cabinet! I was so pleased you were able to bring the wood back to its former glory. And then I saw the machine!!! That has to be the most beautiful machine I have ever seen. Actually brought tears to my eyes! Congrats!

I am so sorry folks. I completely goofed this up...

My post #101 showing the drawer handles was NOT for this "Shabby Chic" Singer 12 MOP but for the "Daisy" VS2 machine.... It should have been posted here
