Sharon,
Awesome quilt for a boy. Like the color combos too. |

I like the skateboard quilt and the Pfaff!

Earthwalker,Mrs. Finch and Chris_quilts,
Thank you so much for your kind comments. :D The skateboard quilt will soon go to its new owner, it got packed up with lots of other quilts for delivery. The Linus Connection is a local organization that gives hand made quilts, fleece and yarn blankets to in-need kids in central Texas. All of the large scale fabrics in the quilt are salesman's samples. The Pfaff is a wonderful machine. I discovered yesterday that I can FMQ with it, however it looks bad on the reverse side. :( It sews bindings and everything else just fine, so I'm happy with it. Well, I have to show off the quilt my 1947 FW and I finished today. The blocks were sewn with the FW and the colored squares were hand stitched down. But, it's done.... it took a long time. This one is for my DD and her DH for their 25th wedding anniversary.

Oh Christine, you are so sweet..... but sorry, I'm not up to adoption these days. But you should try one of these. It took a long time but it really was worth it. My daughter and her hubby love it and even my grandkids have called to say they like it..... that's worth a ton. They all live so far away that I only get to see them about once a year.
Just a hint..... I got this pattern from a tutorial here on QB for cathedral windows...... |
I have spent the last couple of weeks going thru this thread and I just have to say "AWESOME work ladies and gents". I have so enjoyed reading and seeing all the wonderful things accomplished on the older machines...I too love the older models, they were so well made and still work so well, especially for quilting!!!Keep posting, I love looking!

I also make charity quilts. My favorite machines are treadles and my older(22 and 30 year old) Berninas 930 and 1031, the Berninas aren't old enough for this group and also a 38 yr old Pfaff 1222E. Sharon W. |

Bento box top is done, and I cut too many strips so incorporated them into a baby quilt. If it had a name, maybe "Chicken in my Bento Box Leftovers" or, hmm, maybe not. My White 1514 sews so fast with its powerful motor that strip quilts practically sew themselves!
