Don't just tell us about them, show them to us. . . .I'm drooling just hearing about them. I have yet to see anything in my area as nice as what a lot of you folks get for $100 or less! Let's see your collection.

MOst of the time you can not put a friction drive in a treadle because the pulley lacks the grove for the belt. But there is no saying that you cant find a handwheel that will work and then you can run it in a treadle.

So, Billy, would I just need to look for a White treadle handwheel with the groove. Then some kind of treadle irons, (any specific kind of irons?) Would that do it? I'd rather do that than replace the electrical parts. What is a reasonable price range to pay for complete treadle irons and a handwheel?

Thanks Billy. Just getting caught up on mail. Had a trip to the hospital sometime during the nite..home now. Kickin back and catchin up with mail. Things are gonna sit for a wee bit.. but will be full swing soon. Will enjoy pics of everyone else's stuff:) miss the pics...

I have never heard of the FW bobbins by a class name. They are just called 221/222/301 bobbins or FW bobbins.

I picked up my friend's 15-91 today & took it for servicing. It needs new electric cord & is missing the bobbin case so the shop will take care of these things. Had a chance to drool over the machine & its cabinet, both of which are in excellent shape. I'll post pictures when I pick it up next Friday. Took a look at its 1 remaining bobbin, so I now know what a class 15 bobbin looks like. I'm going to find some more, along with the foot I need to do FMQ.

I'm not Katfish, but I would be interested in knowing what you did to make yours work, I may be faced with the same problem in the future. Thanx for sharing.

Well, after talking to Glenn I got up enough nerve to remove the very damaged veneer from my machine and refinish what was underneath. Not a good job and my wood filler didn't take stain like the label said it would so I did some painting of my own.
