Grandchildren are our reward for not killing our kids when they are teenagers!

Janice i love your siggy!

Thanks, Trish!! My kids weren't so bad, but my stepkids...a totally different matter. They nearly didn't survive their teens... Hahaha!!

Ok, this one scares me...the sanity of the person who did this is definitely in question!!

Several thoughts come to mind on this one: http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/atq/2830095293.html

1. How sad, all those machines consigned to the parts heap. :(
2. I wonder how much he wants and how many there are. :)
3. *Sigh*. My place kind of looks like that right now.

Well I had to do it, curiosity won out.
I grew up learning to sew on a Necchi Supernova. Since I know how that machine works, I told myself that my focus will be on collecting machines that I have never experienced. Well, the Supernova won. I'm treadling a Necchi Supernova Ultra. I figured a way around the bobbin cover issue and treadling belt -Sebastian helps.

Love it Monica! How does she treadle?

Miriam that's Sebastian from "Little Mermaid". He's my hero!!

Charlee, It treadles nicely! If I position the bobbin winder to its correct position (cover shut) then it hits the cover just like my Singer 328k and treadles like the Singer 328K. At first I thought the bobbin winder was separate from the cover, and that I could just remove cover, but that isn't the case. So, in the process of taking the motor cover plate off the side of the machine to freely get to motor belt for removal, I discovered that the bobbin cover and bobbin winder mechanism rotates down out of the way of the treadle belt. I looked around my sewing area for something that wouldn't damage the machine and hold the bobbin winder in this position, and Sebastian smiled back. :D I will have more photos up on my blog later today. I'm catching up on yesterday's work, since I spent most of the day and evening cleaning, oil, and setting machine in treadle. I didn't have to fix any hinge pins or pin holes; machine went right into cabinet like it was meant to be. She was a patient lady waiting for me.
