Jackpot! I've got one just like it I picked up for next to nothing. I'm going to be smiling all the way to the bank. :D

Jon, these kinds of ads just fry me! I sent the seller an e-mail explaining to him that his 'rare' machine is actually a Singer Model 27 with 30,000 allottted October 26, 1909. I also told him that the machine is in terrible condition as someone has probably tried to clean it which caused the very 'common' Tiffany decals to silver! The machine is probably worth $5 to $10 if he can even sell it - it would probably be worth a little more as a parts machine! Maybe, this guy doesn't really know it's value or maybe he is really trying to scam some fool?

At least these people are honest! They know they have a reproduction treadle and are selling it as such! They are asking a reasonable price and not trying to sell this machine and treadle as an authentic! http://sacramento.craigslist.org/for/2801288443.html

Hi Nancy,
Did they reply back? The listing is so outrageous it seems like a joke. The freight is worth more than the machine.

BoJangles- I didn't know there are repro treadles! I was surprised when I saw an ad on Craigslist for a repro Featherweight recently. Apparently they are sold on AllBrands.com!

AND you get "free shipping"...so consider it a bargain...

Shoot, I LIKE this one even though it is a reproduction!

Any guesses as to what Singer this is? The table looks a lot like a FW table, but the FW tables don't have the extension leaf? Could it be a 301? I sent the owner an e-mail asking for a picture of the machine!

Ok going back and looking I see the table was hand made, probably by the owner of the machine. Interesting? I called too, but no answer! I am curious as the case looks to be in good shape, but might be for a newer - not vintage machine?

I know this was pages back, but I've finally caught up. This is a Singer 338, and a great machine, all metal. I have one that was given to me with the manual and all the cams, and it make a fabulous stitch. Mine also came with a home built cabinet so I have no idea if that cabinet was meant to come with it or not. It's a great machine!
