Nancy, Here is a Pfaff 260 in treadle. What is the difference between yours and this one, besides age?
I would guess if this one could be treadled that yours could too. |

This is the set up and the Pfaff 360 is just like it. If you can't get the combo plug anymore, yes you can get the separate power cord(easy to find) but the foot control will be harder, and more expensive.

This is what the combo. plug looks like, but like I said you can try to get the two different cords.

Gotta love the proprietary parts. Seems like Pfaff has an awful lot of different cords, but the part number for yours is Pfaff #852963. Says it no longer available but someone must have one laying around.

Luck Jon Monica, I saw that 260 in treadle too, but I don't want to do that. The motor to this machine is under the bed, the belts run up into the machine. One of the belts has 73 cleats - I just don't want to take the machine apart. I have my 319w in treadle. I use the 319 all the time, I really want to leave this one electric. I am just going to put the machine on a shelf until I find a power cord. I don't want it changed, torn apart, or Rod re-doing the electric. He says if he does that it will run, but won't look as nice as the original setup! Nancy Oh and thank you Jon for the parts number! Yep, this is actually my 7th Pfaff - I forgot about the treadle sitting in our entrance! Not one of my Pfaffs has an interchangeable cord! Go figure! |

I will be picking up my new to me Necchi, Supernova, tomorrow, I am so excited! I didn't realize that there are Necchi, cabinets. Of course, why not. Will the Necchi, fit into other cabinets, Singer, Franklin, etc, that anyone knows of?
I saw a picture of a parlor cabinet, very nice. http://www.flickr.com/photos/35557704@N04/5825393355/ Thank you. |
I posted awhile ago about my New Home Light Running DSM. I finally got the hand wheel off last night - used a rubber mallet numerous times but finally it came off. I cleaned everything per Rain's video and will reassemble today after oiling. Hopefully, the bobbin winder will now work. Please let it work. :) I also discovered that this is a top clamping machine but the box of attachments that came with it are also top clamping. The cabinet it is in is a solid cabinet so cannot take to my friend - bummer!! She'll get a heavy portable Singer instead. I have taken pictures of it disassembled and hope to post them here. The motor runs off a friction wheel with a rubber tire. The tire had a flat spot but used a wad of batting to create a shim and the wheel rerounded itself but will look for a replacement.
I have to resize pictures before they will load. Will post them in a few minutes. |
