All, I miss the shop since I am visiting my Mom. But the good news is tomorrow I am going to start cleaning the treadle my sister picked up for me. I will have photos tomorrow if I can figure out how to load them on this public computer.

I was telling the gal that was cutting my fabric today about all my recent vintage machines acquisitions. I told her that I don't do dog rescue, (although both my dogs are rescues, so I sorta do), I do sewing machine rescue. She laughed and said that she feels that way too. Maybe we need to organize and call ourselves a vintage sewing machine rescue and figure out a cool name and such. Don't rescue organizations gets grants and such? Hmmm, that could be fun.

LOL I have 4 Paffs too, my hobbymatic 947 (no IDT on it) my 7570, my dream machine!! my 2056, and have the fabric mover with stitch reg for it, and my Pfaff coverlock 4062. I gave my sister my 1229 this past April, what a work horse it was, am looking for another now. I love LOVE my Pfaff's. So I figure if I get a Pfaff treddle I will sure use it! I use all my machines, and now will be learning how to use my Signer 500. The woman at the shop where I got it, asked how long I have been sewing that I did not know about cams, well I have never in my 55+ years of sewing had a machine that had cams! She was a tad rude, and acted like I didn't know beans, LOL

I will take pictures when I get my new camera battery and learn how to use this one,~~~~~~~~~~

Weedwoman, You have a National rotary machine. She's in a little rougher shape than mine but I have a cabinet that is similar.I can help you out with threading and such when the time comes.

This is the treadle I purchased this week. I can find no info on her at all. Any ideas on how to find her age/origin?

BTW she has a great stitch. Runs like a star. And note the applewood rod connecting the treadle pedal to the fly wheel.
