I have been searching for the needles Billy said I needed - Boyle 18 -- can't find them? Any ideas? THANK YOU AGAIN! I know a little old man that repairs machines for the salvation army store and he has a load of machines, he's the one with the Wheeler/Wilson one we looked at (what a gorgeous one) I'll see him again soon or talk to him on the phone and I'll ask him if he has a source. Bought a little machine today (not the Wheeler/Wilson) but another that I have no idea what it is. No marks on head but underneath it has NSMCO model A 605300889.
I'll add some pics in a minute. No case, just a little bottom cabinet that looks like maybe a display thingy. |

When I spin the wheel it moves freely so I think it would work, however I do not know what to look for as far as the bobbin is concerned etc. I looked around the net and here is a picture of it, however, the one I saw says Freeman No 5 on the top, not just Free.
http://www.ismacs.net/free/fly11.html So, should I race back up there a get this machine? If so are there things I should check before buying? DH says I can get it if I will use it, so it has to work :). It looked to be in good condition, cabinet too, just needs a little cleaning. Thanks Billy |

That would be fantastic! I got the belt on the Singer 9w (Wheeler/Wilson) and it seems to work great without thread! Billy I am so glad you mentioned that the wheel of this machine goes backwards -- I probably would have broke something before I figured it out! On a lighter note -- I CAN TREADLE and SEW -- this in on the Singer Model 15. The Model 15 is very easy to treadle and it sews perfect stitches! My Singer 127 also sews perfect stitches once I get it going -- that is the part that is still hard for me! Nancy |

Where can I get the "Cleaning your machine Tutorial?" I am so hooked on vintage machines, I think I better get the tutorial! Nancy |
