So, will you treadle it or install a hand crank?

The Free SM has lovely decals too, though one wonders just WHAT they were sewing with that bright pink thread!!

Be sure to post pictures once they are cleaned up!

The free most likely will sit pretty for awhile until i get my studio done. I wasnt planning or expecting her so not really sure. I dont have a hand.crank machine so that is a possibility.

this is the treadle head i was given yesterday. Parisian serial number L219698. Shes smaller and lighter than any other heads i have. I picked it just because its something different from everything else i have. Now to find out more of her history. Looking at the plate with the serial number I have to wonder if it was made by Davis. Its identical to my NVF.

Jennb,
I have a black metal attachment box that looks just like yours. I would love to have a Free, the decals are pretty.

This is my 5.00 goodwill auction win. My mom is currently babysitting her in Colorado Springs until I see her next.

Took a little drive today to the depths of S. Jersey, but I think it was worth it. 28 is not cleaned up yet, straight out of the "garage".

Actually, now I'm thinking its a 127.

A little 99k conversion to a handcrank. Wheel was notched and repro crank added--needs a little tweaking, but it works! I didn't want to cut into the cabinet, so the crank has to be removed before it can be folded back into the cabinet. She's a cutie pie. :)
