SFBay area again....

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/atq/3523952862.html - $500 - Wheeler and Wilson #9 "Needs restoration"

I'm pretty sure that I have listed this before but it's still worth a view.
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/atq/3521868172.html - $1000 Antique Singer in cabinet.

Worst part is that if it was reasonable priced, I 'd be interested in it...

ok this one is great...
http://monterey.craigslist.org/for/3439504248.html

1940's japanese sewing machine - $1000

Antique japanese sewing machine in mint condition! This thing is almost new.(???)
NO Pictures included.

So, I text him and ask.. can I see a picture? he sent this.

When I asked him politely why he felt it was worth $1000 he said because "these sell for $1600 but I am trying to keep the price reasonable"

I mentioned that as a person who is a collector and beginning restorer of these machines I could assure him that they were worth more like $160 at best.

his reply "that's fine, this one is not restored, this one has never been used"

That one is very nice - the presser foot lifts up extra high - very well made and runs very smooth.

Been nice meeting and getting to know ya'll. Thanks for all the great info on machines and sewing I have picked up.
Administrators have informed me I must remove my bible verse from my signature, that is not going to happen.
So, thank ya'll for teaching this old woman new things.
