Welcome to the Quilting Board!

The person who painted that cute 66 does not want it to be used. It is obvious by her description. Why would you sell something you think is so cool looking? Obviously she wants someone to appreciate her work and not use the machine - just display it? A very cute repaint, I agree.

Junkin' in "new" territory today and tomorrow!!The spousal unit and I are going over the hill to Eugene to play for the day...should be fun!
One day, you'll only be a memory for some people. Do your best to be a good one.

"Why would you sell something you think is so cool looking?" Because the seller knows there will be another one to sell similar to this one once this one is sold. May not be exactly the same, but close. The seller could possibly sell lots if they lower the price and market it for young girls learning to sew. Something with a line of "American Girl" dolls theme, pillowcases and easy dress patterns.
Some just seek the trophy, while others seek to breathe in a life...either way it's okay...whatever makes one happy.
I took a peek at the other listings on the tippecanoe CL, where the cute, white, repainted sewing machine is posted.
This cabinet is gorgeous: http://tippecanoe.craigslist.org/atq/2824637251.html
Great deal at $45. The repainted, cute, white sewing machine would look stunning in this cabinet, just have to redo the top for the machine head to be able to sit in the cabinet. Machine head $450, cabinet $45...if money were no object...
