I had the Kenmore version of your machine. It was a nice machine for about 5 years, then the motherboard died and Sears wanted $350 to replace it, only paid $500 for it, so it went away.
I much prefer my older machines, still have the first Bernina I bought in 1992; it works great still.

That is the biggest problem with computerized machines. They work great but are financially prohibitive to repair when the electronics die. A very good reason to avoid them.

I need some help. I have acquired an old singer the serial number looks to be JD050787. It has a wooden base and is electric but is missing the cord & foot pedal. It also has a light. I cannot find what model this may be. My husband found something saying it was made in Canada in 1954 or after. It is in good shape cosmetically but I would like to find a cord. Can anyone help?? Thanks!

I would recommend a 3 hole, two wire set ($15) and a new electronic foot controller($30) or a new carbon foot controller ($20) for your machine. It appears to be a model 128.

I agree with SteveH. I have this machine as a hand crank and ADORE it! Yours is in much better shape than mine. On summer evenings, I can take it outside and piece while listening to the birds. I have purchased an aftermarket crank for less than $20, shipped. Mounting was very easy.
