Singer 201-2 vs 201-3. I have my grandmothers 201-3 and was reading an article about the 201-2 on Sew Classic. Can anyone tell me if there are differences and what they are?
Thanks so much.

Well, I have the 503a, the 401a, and a 500a. Even though, the 401a is suppose to be top of the line in these machines, I prefer the 503a to any of them! They are all great machines, though, you will get hooked on these! Yep you will want to get a 500 too!

Glenn and I fixed up two bastard treadles - we need belts to get them functional. It was a job. We will be making a new post about it when he gets home. We have one more to make. We have been having a good time getting into all sorts of stuff. We got out the Wheeler and Wilson and made it sew. It needs a lot of TLC to actually work well.

DH got the water heater to work in the shop. He has to finish off the kitchen and the place will get time out from construction for a while.

Thanks so much.
201-2 has a potted (built in) motor and gear driven, the 201-3 has an external motor and belt, I believe.
