I'm hoping to get some time in on my 319 again - I'm having trouble getting the needle bar clamp back together. Any suggestions?

My Singer 201K got "new" treadle irons today, she is very happy to have new "legs". I bought a better set of straight leg irons last month from a Craig's list seller. DH and I swapped them out this afternoon, the old set was the donor for a few missing parts. I'm amazed how smooth and quietly the new irons treadle. Sewing is so much easier. I'm making double Friendship stars with either a 3" friendship star or a 9 patch in the center square.

Ok. I can try it without the foot, I have some spare fabric I can play with.
As far as the generic or vintage foot. I know it's not a vintage foot since it looks just like the one for my modern Janome. It doesn't look anything like the penguin or any of the older attachments I've seen. I've quilted 3 others on the same system with no problems. I kept the box the foot came in. It doesn't say much. It's a plain white box that says Walking Foot in English, French and Spanish. Then there is a picture of it and it says "contents, 1 piece". Does this help?
OH....thread to my little runners.... http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...n-t164440.html
So you can see them.

The swastika that is on this bed is what is seen in Asia. The earliest form dates back to India. Hitler's swastika took on the form of the earliest Indian swastika in the counter clockwise form, just minus the dots and rotated just a bit.
This swastika is more like the ones seen in Asia which is a clockwise form. The symbol represents good luck. It can be found in India, China, South Korea, and Japan and is associated with different religions, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism.
I have seen it on Buddhist temples in Japan.
This machine looks to be a Japanese clone- as Nancy has pointed out. Machine isn't rare, just the decals might be for here in the States.
Most likely made for the Asian market and not the German market.
The Coat of Arms doesn't even look German, which is a black eagle -unless your from Bavaria.
Britain likes to use Coat of Arms with lions. Maybe one of the British territories in Asia is what is shown on this machine. Not Hong Kong since it's Coat of Arms is a lion and dragon. Don't know what Bombay's Coat of Arms had looked. I don't know, just guessing here on location.

Candace sent a pic of how it should look done - that thing is a real bugger - I'm thinking a magnet or something to hold it in place maybe so it doesn't fall out before I get it anywhere near the machine. This one is more than holding your mouth right and not letting any swear words leak out.
I was cruising thru yard sale pictures in Atlanta and found this...looks like they don't much care about the treadle wxcept as a stand for the china! I'm not in the market..
