I just have to add that I really like both of the blocks!! Like some other ladies have said it would be nice to have more than one church in their little housing community blocks!! Great Job!!
:D :D :D :D
I didn't even notice the roof was off on the second one ==try try again:) Thanks for all your kind words. I am a beginner and I need lots of practice.

Well ladies, Originally I thought I wouldn't join in as I hadn't seen a quilt with buildings that I liked.

However, after seeing all of your wonderful blocks, I started having thoughts of joining. Thank you.
Now to get some fabric.

Might take a few weeks - is it okay if I'm a little late posting a picture?

Actually it reminds of a church in Sienna, Italy. The stripes being uneven give more shape to the building. I love it. and thanks for the memory!

Me too! We were in Siena last September. The inside is even more dramatic with the stripes.

I'm really enjoying looking at all the churches.

The vines in the windows, and the windowsills really work! Nice block! Mine still looks slightly plain to me too, but I decided to wait until I'm putting them all together to see if inspiration comes....

OMGoodness!! It really does resemble the church! Wow you really captured it! You couldn't had done better if you tried! Great job!! Now that I see the church, it reminds me of the St Patricks Cathedral in NY! Awesome!
