Whitepine-what agreat idea! I, too, wish I had thought of that. But, I don’t think I had enough red left to do it. I’ll try to find time after work to take & post pix. I did lose some points, though Mine doesn’t look as precise as I’d like.

I pay $99 to get my old Bernina serviced and cleaned, and $139 for my new Janome. Nothing is cheap anymore. but I get the Janome serviced once a year, and the Bernina once every 18 months( don't use that one as much). As long as I keep them serviced, I never have any problems so I feel it is money well spent, and cheaper than a major repair.

My top is finished. I added more blocks to make it the dimensions for a baby charity quilt. I think I will back it with the blue in the top.
Thanks Judy for another great mystery.

Retired & Ice, such great finishes! I wish I was more creative & able to think beyond the border of a pattern! Others had such good ideas on extending the original quilt to use their extra fabric or HSTs from the scraps. All of the ones posted have made pretty quilts.
