Question: If I have some strips I'd like to use to cut the triangles for Clue 2, using the Easy Angle ruler, rather than diagonally cutting the 3 7/8 inch square, would it be 3.5 inch strips?

Thanks for your support MamaHen.

Scrapsgalore it sounds like you have really enjoyed the mystery quilts by Bonnie Hunter. This is my first mystery quilt with anyone, but have done a couple of scrappy quilts. I am new at quilting so it's all very exciting to me.

No. She is trying to figure out what to do with those triangles.

Judy, Should we save our "brights" for another clue, or can they be incorporated now. I have some yellows and oranges to use somewhere.
Yes, you can use them here.

Sorry, don't know how the easy angle ruler works.

Teacup.... I just measured one of my triangles with the Easy Angle ruler, & you still need to cut your strips 3 7/8". You would just need to flip your ruler, The little black mark at the bottom corner is the seam allowance, Try one first before holding me to it.

Susan, so glad you decided to jup aboard. Judy makes things simple. you'll have a georgous quilt at the end, and wonder, wow I id that. she takes things we don't like to do and makes it easy as pie. I kid you not!!!! THE LAST ONE WAS STARS AND JUSY MADEIT SIMPLE FOR US. you'll have loads of fun. Made some maple bacon cookies for dh, and put some in the club car for all to enjoy. got all my triangles cut. silly me , misread, and cut out 96 triangles. was trying to do math in my head. go figure that's the problem. have fun all.

Hey everyone! I posted this on the thread for the last mystery, but you all moved over here hope you don't mind me posting on this thread but I need some help with the last mystery so I can move on to this one. Thanks!!!!

Oh no!!! I'm so bummed right now, I ran into a huge snag! I didn't get a chance to finish this mystery because I switched over to finishing a quilt as a wedding gift, then we left for vacation, and then it was the holidays. I really wanted to do the scrappy mystery but needed to finish this one first. I've just realized that I'm completely out of my D fabric and I don't have the four corner blocks made yet. I scrounged for scraps that I could piece together but I already did that in another place and there's just not enough left. I think the only thing I could do is remove two of the star blocks and make it a square. It would make it 16 inches shorter. Another plus to doing that is that I had to piece my D fabric on the star blocks and if I take two out I could use only the good stars. Does anyone have any better ideas?

THANKS!!!
