IB - Here's hoping that the Dr. doesn't say or find anything to stand in your way of starting AOTH. Let us know what you are planning for your version - size, background color, construction method, you know, all the details.

Hi IBQuiltin, Good luck with the Dr on Friday. I go to my cardiologist next Thurs. but I still keep on quilting no matter what the verdict. I think quilting keeps my mind busy and I feel better. I hope it is nothing serious. Let us know when you are ready to join the gang. We're excited to have you come aboard.

I took my book to Office Max this afternoon. They are going to cut the binding, enlarge all of the patterns by 142% and then rebind my book with a coil binding. Slowly but surely I am getting ready to start on this quilt in June.

Linda, I received my KKB video yesterday, but have not watched all of it. I watched and then tried to do some of the applique. I have never made inside points as good as they were when I followed her directions. I always feared that inside pts would not hold up and would fray. I pulled and ripped on the background and applique fabric trying to tear them apart, but could not do it, with all the other methods the applique did not hold well. I am now comfortable with making them. I liked that she gave you choices and different techiques. I will certainly be tying different methods and rewatching the video over and over. I am fussy and my goal is to obtain the best looking and most durable applique possible. I am really thrilled with the video and feel it will definately make my future applique better. I love applique and had just about given up on any thing with inside pts. I still have a few problems, but maybe the video will help me with those also.

My quilt guild has this quilt as their opportunity quilt for this year. The drawing will be done in June. Check out Orange Grove Quilters Guild web site. Also soon we'll have a picture of our quilt for next year, it's all animals, a mama possum with her babies, lots of applique and lots of embroidrey (all by hand)
    Keep watching for the picture.

Wow Sally, I checked it out and your guild did a wonderful job on the AOTH! I looked at your other pics too. Your guild looks like a lot of fun to belong to.. Fun!
