Hi, everyone, I am back from holiday, so back here in the fold. I took my big borders with me and two are now finished, except that I suspect I will be adding something else to them once I have them laid out and can assess them.
I have been up half the night, so I am now off for a snooze, so I will catch up later.
Welcome to the newbies, how many are we up to now Kathy?

Patti - this is from Superior...
MasterPiece by Alex Anderson. Nature's finest thread. #50 extra-long staple Egyptian-grown cotton for piecing, detail quilting, bobbin, lace, and applique. Very smooth with virtually no lint.

Last night I googled "Affairs of the Heart Quilt" and looked at all the images that popped up. Beautiful quilts. I was looking for different ideas for borders and, although most outer borders were done like she did it in the book, I really liked the one that the gal from New Mexico did with appliqued hearts all around, but boy, would that be a lot more applique. Anyway, there's lots of quilts to look at.

I think I may have posted this comment before - but seriously thinking of putting Aie's Water Lillies border on the AOTH once it's done

it's so breathtaking! I actually love the blocks in that one too - trying to decide if there is any way I could blend the two quilts into one.... will see once I actually get my fabric and start sewing
