I love the move button. I couldn't get the 'delete' to work. I looked up the online help... click the delete button, the cursor now has an 'x', click on the piece to delete and then use the 'delete' on your keyboard. Yipee! it does work. It did say that if you close preview, the changes don't save, though, so you'd have to print from the preview screen.

Thanks for the info on the Just Takes 2. I'll check that out.

I just got back from the fabric store. They have a 60% coupon going [Mill End Textiles - fairly local and don't do online orders]. I got a full bolt [20yds] of 48" wide muslin for just over $1/yd!!!! On top of that, I used the gift card my DD gave me for Christmas. WooHoo!

I decided to swap the red and cream [muslin]. I think I like the red as the background color much better:

Hi Cindy, I do not have the rulers so it won't affect me as I increase the size of the triangles by the same percentage as I increased the blocks. I assume that if I did have the triangle ruler that it would be useless with the new dimensions I am using.

Wow! What a wonderful group here and wonderful work. This is going to be so much fun!

Ditto - it is beautiful Nancy! I want to make two quilts as I go along. I already have dozens of red fabrics from doing a red and white quilt a few years ago. Will you be using different red fabrics or sticking to just one? After seeing your quilt layout I am thinking I may want to do this layout for my second quilt if you are okay with me copying you. (Gotta love that Mill End!!!! )

I don't mind a copycat at all, Judy. I really want to do the red [all one red] but am so drawn to the traditional with the trip around the world secondary pattern. I really don't think I can commit to 2, though!

I purchased the DJ triangle ruler and I made BR1. I am not sure where to measure this on the ruler.

Your BR1 looks a little odd. It should be the same size as the ruler. Unless you're doing a different size

Default Kite size?

I started the Dear Jane a year and a half ago. Then life got in the way and now I am happily back to it. I did my blocks at 4.5 and my triangles as 5 x 8 but I am not sure what the measurement would be for the corner Kites? Is there anyone out there that would know the dimensions? It really is alot of fun!
