This has become one of my favorite threads. So much eye candy! Every time I log on there is another amazing center. This is my center and first round. Had such a good time doing it. Elisabrat you are so right about the power of the border, what a design tool. I know the next round I am going to go very light in color, right now its far to dark.

Emma, that turned out so great. Yes it is dark, but if you go a little lighter each round it will just dance off the wall. Good job, now to wait till February!!!!!

Whitepine, I saw your beautiful center and thought how striking. As I read along, I see you decided to leave it plain and I think that is the right thing. It is just gorgeous. Emma, I think your center is so pretty. And for that kat, ain't that the cat's pajamas? Not sure where that saying originated or what it has to do with anything, but remember my mother saying that a lot of times. He is just the cutest thing! How much fun is this?

I am amazed at the wonderful blocks and how people are doing their centers. I was going to go with the Buttons one, which I do like and will also do, but I am being nagged by some batik after seeing that Iris and Lions center. So I'm gonna try to put one of those together also, when I find the combination I like

Here is my center of Buttons with the Diamonds from QCache as the first round:

Reskyler: Such a great choice with your center. Love the way the border seems to match the flower.

I think that is gorgeous, I love the black and green. The purple just pops out too.

Wow a second one, I like it too. I have thought about another one because I am enjoying this as much as anyone, but I have some donation quilts I need to make so i'll just stick to one.
