Thanks everyone for the positive reinforcement. It finally "feels right". I was about ready to throw up my hands and just set it aside again when I tried this one more time. Think I was about to wear out the fabric taking it apart so many times. Lol! Finding the red and the blue with the white stars lightened it up that little bit that it needed to keep from being too dark, without breaking up the pattern I'd already started.
Not sure which border I'm going to try yet.

All the centers and rounds are looking so pretty! I'll be lurking - I have a medallion quilt partially planned but haven't got the time to work on it right now. It will be medieval themed for my DH.

sewnsew I can go back and find those posts for you however I view these threads differently than most of you. I go from page 1 is the first posting# and page 10 say is the last posts.. most go the other way current to old.. so my numbers are not going to do you much good. I think your safe to say its somewhere in the middle. I am sorry I wasn't going to start a new Thread for each month just one thread. I know someone here is keeping track perhaps Jan knows where we posted it. AM I the only one who reads the threads this way first to last?

Brat, I know how you can use up those scraps.. you pack them all up into a very large box and mail them to MEE!

careful what you wish for if you note that red orange pile I barely touched it with the last round.. hoping the red orange one knocks it down a bit more. trouble I see if I will end up with a whole lot of the brown and black mixed scraps.. and pink is almost non existant obviously not a color that I use a ton of .. that stack is so small relative to the rest. I get sure nervous when I go scrappy. My last experience in the scrappy train ride almost nailed it to the wall I hated it, too scrappy way too scrappy for my comfort. donated that top quick as a cricket to get it out of the house lol. so.. hoping the white in this one will keep it ok for me and also color coordinating it might make me breath easier to. Seriously I could get hives using these things like this. One block yes a quilt.. um.. um..

Brat: Pretty colors. Your right sure is more than one quilt. Looks like big pieces to me, my scraps are small probably no more than 6 X 6. Since I love scrap quilts it works for me. All but the flower fabric in the medallion came from my stash, which gives you an idea how big my stash is.

These are the post numbers so far (not page #s).

#233 and 236 Elisabrat 1st border
#238 jaba 1st border, option #1
#240 jaba 1st border, option #2

I,too, read from first to last. I think the post numbers are the same either way.

These centers are so great.
