Here is my Bride block. The blue background fabric with the chipmunks is a vintage fabric. I loved seeing everyone else's blocks. Still have to get my Carol completed.

And here is Carol. The pink check is vintage and the center morning glory was cut from a feedsack. It reminds me of a picnic! I wish I'd gone for a little more contrast in the corner triangles, tho. Oh well. Sew and learn....

I thought the exact same thing-- I should have used more contrast. I had the same idea of using the big square to fussy cut a motif. I like yours. I've planted morning glory seeds and they are about 7" tall in the greenhouse (at work, we don't have one at home) right now. My husband wants them planted by our mailbox, but I haven't decided yet where I'll put my seedlings. It's a bit too soon to plant yet here in MI.

When I had a big garden (many moons ago) there was some kind of wild morning glory that would invade. It opened in the morning and then closed it's bloom back up. I hated to pull them out!
