Buddy'smom, my word! you have a nice selection of 30's prints. I've seen hundreds of them, but I haven't seen before the ones you've shown. What a treat to see them! Thanks! I just love the book too. I think she did a great job with the CD as well. I also bought the Pony Club book (I like the 8" size blocks in it and the theme being different for the stories), and the CD is not set up in the same manner. I prefer the CD 'improvements' she made in the later book. I understand that she's making a new book-- so more fun stuff to read and see later. She must have the best ever collection of the old magazines! The stories in them are so quaint and often uplifting to read.

Thanks so much, I love the 30's and civil war fabric's. I was so surprised to get this book in a swap but thrilled as well. I have some vintage 30's, but using them to finnish a vintage quilt top I have of dresden plates. I'm PP any blocks that I can, some do seem to come out a hare to small?

Yes, several times there was a report of not exactly the correct size block while using the either the paper piecing method or the template method. I've added a tiny border on a few blocks to make them reach the 6" finished size. I also sewed a few that were too large, and I'll be cutting the points off when I set them. I most often use the templates.

Thanks so much, thought it was me. I'm gonna make borders when I put the quilt together and I'll size them then.

6 1/2. I've got a few that are a little under that, too.
