We don't fight either, but I will say my piece if he is out of line. I always let him have his space to get over it. I enjoy my own company anyway, so I'm fine with being somewhere other than where he is if he isn't being pleasant. He has a lot of physical issues to deal with every day, so he does pretty well, considering.

I sewed the border on a quilt top today and brought it to a friend to quilt on her frame/long arm. Awhile ago I was showing some quilt tops to my youngest son and he surprised me by saying he liked the 1930's reproduction fabric one the best. The prints seem feminine, childish, and pastel-- not what I'd expect for a man's quilt! It was the disappearing 4-patch pattern. So I made one for him for his birthday. Not a great picture! It's 67" x 84", so a twin bed size.

I love the quilt, Trisha! Men like bright colors too. Hubby's uncle was visiting when he announced he'd like to have a quilt for his bed at home. I showed him the tops I had ready to quilt and let him choose one... and he picked the brightest, wildest quilt top I had! Never would have thought he'd like that one, but to him a quilt was supposed to be bright and lively.

I'd love to see yours again when the quilting is done on it.

Lovely givio...the Dp4p is such a nice pattern...and what a delightful border. My QBuddy is using her DH's blue Oxford shirts combined with a red bandana type fabric with the dp4p pattern...it's going to be a nice kids donation quilt.

Today I sewed the final border on the charm quilt...sewed the backing and binding as well...now to find some batting...it's going to finish about 78 x 78.

Lovely job, Givio. Love it when quilts are finished and I can move forward on a another one....but I am slower than molasses in the Spring. Especially when you finish teh cutting for one piece in the quilt and then discover it whould have been cut differently. Back to the store and get another yard and half this next week. LOL!

Ok, please post when you finish yours.

SBG, love your coffee quilt you have posted in the picture section.

Everyone take care, have wonderful Sunday and all week long.

Thank you, QNS. I've been doing a lot of mis-cuts lately too. Probably from going too fast....

Cutting the wrong size, it happens with me a lot. What to do with pieces you've cut wrong (or pieces you have cut too many of)? It's the start of a new project. If I cut more carefully, I'd have fewer UFOs. :-)

    Exactly, givio!

Tonight's my PBS night and since the dish didn't record last weeks "Victoria", I have 2 episodes to watch, plus Mercy St...good thing we have 2tv's...as Super bowl watchers will be in to watch soon...meanwhile I'm cutting scraps to size...
