DFGD got settled in last night but it took a while for ‘em to find a bed for her. Our plans changed & DH stayed here w/the kids while I went to relieve DD for a bit. She was able to take a power nap in my truck. Then I was there for DD while they moved DFGD to the other facility.
So we left the Jeep there.
DD was supposed to pick up one of their dogs from Brownwood yesterday so I’ll take her to do that today & then we’ll go back to San Angelo. DD will see DFGD & get her Jeep.

Oh, SBG, that is great news of the first DGD and what a cutie she is! They have so many cute girl outfits and you do sew so well to make her more outfits. Enjoy your time with her and give her lots of hugs.
Dublb, wisihg you a very good weekend and luck with your foster grandchild.

DD & I took that trip to Brownwood & then San Angelo. It seemed to take forever! Ok it was about 2 hours between Brownwood & San Angelo. It just seemed to drag on to me. Dd doesn’t get to see DFGD till Sunday.
DD’s church has decided that they are gonna build the wall for DGD’s room today.
I guess I’m gonna head over there to help get some things outta the way so they can work.

SBG, I saw Mille's pic in the other thread. I'll look forward to seeing more of her!
QNS, Your Christmas Burg Sur. is great! I love how you've really made the pattern your own with all that creativity! It's unique!
Suzie, welcome to this thread. :-) I joined it when we were making the PC quilts. I didn't get very far with that one, it's a pretty old UFO by now! Then I did pretty good with the FWS quilt blocks. I've got about 80 of them (they are 6" blocks), and I've set some of them in rows, but it's a UFO. Right now I'm trying to finish the quilt I'm making from trading birthday wishes in the Birthday candies swap thread last year. By birthday is at the end of the year, so I haven't had my candies really long-- I feel like I'm moving along okay with this project. I just must finish! Oh!
Here's part of the flimsy.

I haven't finished my Pony Club quilt either Givo. Sometimes I wonder if I am gonna get to it. I do plan on it though.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone!
As I mentioned I'm doing easy these days with my Mom in rehab. I need mindless sewing and it sure does relieve stress. I brought my FW downstairs so I can sew and be near her when she's released. I don't want to be far from her but still want to sew when I can.

Bev, y'all are saints for helping this 15yo girl. God bless you! And I will be praying. May she learn to love and cherish the gift of life!
Sue, what an awesome friend you have, to have driven you that distance so many times so that you would eventually be able to see better. There's so much love in this world!
Suzie, I joined in with this group of ladies when they were doing their third Farmer's Wife quilt... the 1930's sampler. I had to do double duty to catch up, but I did catch up by the time they finished. Now my blocks are in a pile, waiting for me to set them. I need to make it more of a priority.
I also started the Pony Club book way after all these ladies had finished. I got a bunch of the blocks made, then stalled out. I need to get back to them. My kids had ponies, "Little Joe" and "Sweet William" when they were little, and I want to make the quilt to remember those days in their childhood.
So many quilts... so little time!

DD went to see DFGD during visiting hours yesterday. She seems to be so much more stable. The facility is talking about letting her out either today or tomarrow.
