Hello All! I haven't been getting updates again and when I tried to find the tread the other day I couldn't...got an email update today though so I found you!! Looks like everyone is keeping busy. Bev have you tried going to see a chiropractor for the dizziness? I didn't catch when/why that started, but I know an adjustment can sometimes help with my MILs vertigo.

My life has been very busy the last 3 week and this week will be more of the same. My mother-in-law (82) has been having back/hip pain so the month of January was a doctor's appt, some PT and chiro appts and Tuesday is an appt with an orthopedic doctor. Also I have been donating plasma twice a week...not sure why they call it "donating" since I get paid, but it is a nice little extra income. Plus I spent 5 days on the road/in PA for an archery tournament last week/weekend and another tournament coming up this week in Vegas...so not a lot of time for sewing.

I still need to get a t-shirt quilt top done that I was hired to do. The t-shirts are cut/interfaced. I have started putting sashing on. I have plenty of time (not needed until May for a graduation gift) but I really wanted to have it together in January to get to the LA quilter...so my new goal is before the end of February!

I want to work on some UFOs this year too. I have several tops to be quilted, blocks to sew together in to tops and fabric cut to make blocks!! After the tournament next weekend, I won't be traveling for a while so hope I can get some work done on these.

That sounds like a wonderful price Givo! I do hope that her quality will make ya happy w/it. OK I"m gonna be more positive. I bet that her quality is great.
Yes Carrie ya are very busy! .
I am so tired. I just got home from a wonderful retreat! I had 2 DF's & 2 family members come to Fredricksburg & we stayed at the LQS that Jeanie & I found when she was here a couple of years. We had so much fun. I ended up planning it on short notice but both of my Snow Bird DF's made it. I'm planning on doing one every year. It was only $65 a night plus hotel tax. I'd love ot if I had a few of ya'll joining us.

It's fun to meet at a retreat. I did it for the first time this year. I hope to do it again sometime. :-)

Givio, it would be so nice if ya could come to central TX next year!
All I did on Monday was unpack. Then yesterday I went to Midland to get DM. She had a surgery on one of her eyes. The lens she had received when she had her cataract's removed had became cloudy. She got it polished on Monday. She said that it k li'le time that it was over before she knew it had started.
Today it is cooooold! Our low was 15*F & our low is supposed to reach 32*. Burrrrrr!

We have snow here, all weekend. The neighbor said he would plow our driveway tomorrow.

I had word from the LA that my quilt top arrived in TN.

My sister was excited to show me the walking foot that she bought. She is going to try to machine quilt a baby quilt she is working on. Usually she ties the baby quilts she makes. I showed her what my walking foot looks like. The kind of gizmo that is a little box with the feed dogs on it to make the top fabric move forward better. She said, "Oh." She had bought a metal open-toed spring-loaded foot for free motion quilting. I'm not sure if those are also called a walking foot?

Givo, That's called a hopping foot. She will need to practice using that but if she wants to do any FMQ that is the foot she needs. A walking foot doesn't need near as much practice to use.

It was bitterly cold on Wed. The temps have been rising ever since & it was hot today. The temps were in the upper 70's. It is supposed to get cold again starting tomarrow. We are even expecting some rain. Oh, how I do hope we get some rain.

I started BH's Frolic earlier this week.

I'm so glad that ya like it. I haven't had a chance to so anything w/it in the last few days. Today I had to take DD to San Angelo for a Dr appointment. On the way home she got some news that she had to sign some papers in Brownwood. So right after getting home we ate lunch & then went to Brownwood. Both towns are 2 hours round trip. I'm one tired lady.

Yes, long trips in the car can be quite tiring!

I heard from my LA quilter lady that she has my top.

! I"m so glad that ya are gonna get your top soon.
I have a DF from Ohio here & we went to the Brady LQS to get some fabric for her. The Batiks are on sale. I'm gonna go get some next week. She washed her Batiks here at my house & got most of her's cut. We are gonna take a class on Tues need our fabrics cut. We were talking about finishing the cutting out tomarrow after church but remembered that tomarrow the gun range will close at 3:00 & won't be open on Monday. The weather is gonna cool down again on Tues. I'll have to talk to her about going to the gun range first then cutting out our fabrics. We feel that our husbands will like to go to the gun range. She & her DH are in their RV & have a real nice spot right on the water over at the Brady Lake Park. Yup they are right on the water!
