Thanks for the block size and number. I did look and found that after I asked, but didn't get a chance to post again.
I don't know that I will be able to keep up with 2/wk schedule, but I would do my best. I know I won't be making all the blocks since I just need an extra wide twin sized quilt to go on the day bed in my craft room, so should still be able to finish up with everyone else.

I am working as fast as I can, Honchey...two done, working on third quilt to finish borders. DS has stepped up to the 'plate' and is going to pay for the LA work on his quilt. I have have told all the relation and friends that I cannot afford the LA fee, they have to come up with the $$$ if they want a quilt...its a bargain at that price!
I showed the finished tops last night to Patty, then realized at least two were not where I thought they were...so will have to dig deeper for them...And there were still three more in the stages of WIP. Grandmother's Garden, Tennessee Waltz, and Crossed Stars. Three new projects I picked up in January...I have not let myself peak at them yet. Not sure about doing the next Hird one, although I do want to follow everyone's progress.
Three flower bed will require some TLC from me also, weeding the beds, etc. Bleeding Hearts are blooming to the excess, looking very nice. One step at a time.

I honestly feel that we don't have to do 2 a week.. I don't want to do 2 a week. I want to enjoy the journey.
The book with the exception of getting it from Laurie won't be released until the middle of June to the public..so I don't see us starting the quiltalong until the middle or end of July, maybe not until August.. Plenty of time to gather whatever we need.. Any of you not wanting to do this for whatever reason ....it's OKAY!!! just follow along with what the rest of us will be doing..
I happen to like the color-play Laurie used in the blocks..Nice and bright Looking forward to getting the book..We still have about 3 months of waiting...rats!!!

I am sure there will be others who decide to join us too once a new thread is posted....at least I would think so. Maybe 4-6 blocks/month would be a better goal? August sounds like a great start time...that gives us time to collect fabrics...and for those of us paper piecing, time to print/cut out papers.
Plus some good time to finish current quilts! Between now and then I would say there are probably 5 quilts I want to finish. DD's quilt is moving along...7 more blocks yesterday, just 7 more and then putting blocks in rows and borders.

That makes it sound better, Honchey. We will see what August brings. I am happy we get to see the book by mid June or before so I can purchase fabric for it on the All Iowas Quilt Shop Hop in June...I will get out at least two days during the month to shop in Iowa. Can we share thoughts by private emails if some of us get the book early? Ms. Hird indicated she is shipping books to us in mid-May.
Good luck to you Carrie in finishing DD quilt...its one stitch at a time. Sometimes progress flies; other times its seems fo move very slowly. I have one side of border to sew on my Lilac quilt, and I want to finish by Friday morning to take it to the LA quilter. It feels soooo good to be able to see and finish a quilt! You cannot imagine after the last two years of not seeing, how great it really is to be able to see and sew and finish quilts!

DDs Crazy Quilt Blocks
Here are all 48 blocks on my display wall...the ones I did today are just pinned on since they won't "stick" with paper on them. I will have to reorganize them a bit to mix up fabrics, but hope to get the top together this week...at least blocks, borders will probably take longer. I should have time Wednesday morning and all day Thursday.

Bev, as with the last 2 we've done..or almost done you do as many as you like.. you don't even have to do 99 of them...I know that Jan doesn't like "Y" seams so she may not be doing 99 either
