I like that saying qns. You girls have all been busy buying, making, etc. I love hearing what all you have been up to. I had a wonderful mom son evening on memorial day. His wife spent time with her parents while we were off.

Thanks everyone for your kind words on my postings. Yes, I was so tired I went to bed before the chickens last night! I did resist a lot of 'stuff' during the shop hop, so there's more I would love to purchase but that bucket list is getting quite long, so need to finish some projects first. And there is a chance I might get to go 'west' of where I live in three weeks after the Row by Row starts up....that is an eight shop day if I do... eight different rows make a quilt. My Bernina 1530 should be fixed then and ready to pick up. I will take pictures of 'Willow' 's throw and quilt when we finish that before the 11th of the month. Love sewing and thinking of little girl babies...
Plus the fun of longtime friend that will be here helping to make it for her new grand baby girl.
I did pick up the slashing and corner block fabric for the FW 1930 which I hope will be a finished top by September, ready for the LA and a couple to take for the lessons on the long arm lessons in DM. Meanwhile, I need to get to Cantril, Ia., and deliver two quilts there to be hand quilted....been trying to get over there for a couple of months.
Thanks, Ok, for the heads up on the Kirksville Quilt Show. They are a great group and make beautiful quilts.
Celebrate this day, it will not come again in our lifetime.

You are going to be busy, NinaSue.
Last night I embroidered my second block for the embroidered quilt I am doing. The blocks are to be a diamond in a square, and the square is 4 corners of different 30's print fabrics. I thought I had a lot of 30's prints but I don't have 4 of each color. Looks like some SHOPPING will be necessary. Hope I can find some fat quarters.

Hey Ya'll. I hate red tape. Dh's DC hasn't been cremated as of yet. This sitting around waiting is driving me crazy. Well today we dicided to get busy in the sewing room. We took several, hmmmm about 10, sewing machines to the storage unit & put 'em in the bottom of the bookcases that were already there. Then we took 5 sewing machine cabinets. Gosh that doesn't look like that much written here but it sure took a lot outta us.

Dublb, sounds like a few more steps has been gained in the moving process.
I almost have the grand baby girl's throw done for BF. two side borders and and i am done.. . . .will try to post tomorrow or Tuesday. Now to locate or substitute the baby star pattern for the quilt. Or do a quick log cabin.
And I have the two blocks done for FW 1930...if you are doing the queen size quilt, you can skip 5 blocks...it takes 94 blocks. But if you are doing the King Size, then add 22 more on top of the 99 blocks. Think I am voting for the Queen size, looking at so many little pieces in the block numbers of the 80s and 90s.
My little Bernina 1530 is being sent on into Chicago for repairs...fingers crossed they can fix it.They will return the machine to West DM.
Need to do a bit of house cleaning before BF comes in Tuesday evening. . . if she can find her bed, she will be happy. Love friends like that; they come ot see you and not your house! We will be sewing together the rest of the week.
