GGal--love the quilt! I am sure it will be well use.

Thanks all for the comments on my little shed. I used to use a 20x40 building that was next to our old house so really had to downsize, but kind of liked having to decide what I really wanted to keep.

We put up a pole building a couple years back for my husband. The next project planned in a couple years is to build me something bigger so I have room for a long-arm....dreaming for that day.

Off to find the new block threads...

Wendi--like your mini...a friend of mine bought/made that little kit too.

I saw a new ruler at Market that has multiple sizes for the "twister" pattern...it is by Marti Michell and has less waste. If someone hadn't walked me through it I may have been very confused! I have a layer cake to try it out as soon as it gets to the quilt shop...gotta try it out so I can demo it too.

Something else I forgot to share that I saw...two new border books.

One is already out: 60 Pieced Quilt Borders: Mix & Match
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/160...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

The pictures/directions in this one are really great!

Blocks, Borders, Quilts!: A Mix-and-Match Workbook for Designing Your Own Quilts (July release) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/160...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

This one is good for a round robin type quilt as it has sections for different border options with measurements, there are different choices for each size...if you look at the sample pages on amazon you can see what I mean.

CarrieM ... it must have been so much fun to be at the Market and see what's coming. Do you get input as to what your store gets/buys? Or just enjoy and the owner goes separately to do her buying?

QuiltE...I was with the owner pretty much the whole time. She wanted my input. I am her youngest/newest employee so she thought I may have new ideas. Also the other employees told me my "job" was to not let her go overboard. LOL I could see how it would be easy to want to buy way too much!

How nice that you were given the trust to be "the" one!!!!
Amazing that the new kid on the block was the one who got to go!!!
No jealousy in the ranks?
