Hi all of you, You need to look at a Quilt by "Dianne from Sask" of the Yahoo group. Her album is # 146 and the photos of it are the last couple of the, It is set on point but no sashing --no cornerstones--just set in triangles with a long border in between. Please go look at it. It is beautiful! Anne

Honchey - Thank you so much for finding this quilt. It is beautiful and I really like the lay out.
All of the triangles gives a person some open space to show off some quilting.
I think I will do mine this way. I could easily put this together in strips and hand quilt.
What an outstanding quilt.

Violet, I started out handquilting but I've had tendonitis in my right arm since Dec and my thumb and first finger kept going numb. I took out the handstitching and used the same stencils to trace the design I wanted on my blocks. Then I machine stitched following the lines (I can't FMQ). Do you think they're okay?
I'm so excited someone asked me a question.

To JanRN: Wow that quilting is beautiful. Do you just stitch this as usual and not fmq?
To Honchey: I have been looking for a mustard yellow fabric like this for my triangles. Do you have an idea what the fabric is she is using or a similar one. Thanks.

janRN: Oh, your quilting is beautiful. You have given me inspiration because I am not into hand quilting and I do not want to struggle with a big quilt. I think I will copy your lead if it's OK with you. Thanks!
Anne: I checked out the quilt on Yahoo. It is beautiful! I still have to find the right sashing; I don't think mustard yellow will do anything for my red-black-cream colorway.

Jan RN - Your quilting is great. Really brings out the designs of the blocks. Hope your arm/wrist is better. I like your quilting better than my "uneven" hand quilting.
I found some light honey/mustard fabric at Jo-Ann's that I planned to use as sashing. They didn't have enough on the bolt so I didn't purchase. It is made by Arbor Lane. We live in a small town and don't get to Jo'Anns (about 50 miles) that often. However, I am really going to delve into this color. It has a light pattern. Would be perfect for the triangles, not sure what to do about the colorful sashing strips that Diane from Yahoo used. It was certainly beautiful.
