Clever girl. She will soon be sewing and have all fingers intact!

I had trouble getting back far enough to take a pic of all my blocks, so I am afraid the top row is chopped off.

Some have not had their little frame added and they are in no particular order.

The sashing will be black but at the moment they are pinned rather haphazardly to my calico design wall.

Progress so far.

Thank you for posting those - they look BEAUTIFUL together! Really gorgeous. The little frames really unify the blocks. LOVE THEM! OK - now I really want to finish mine.... Got to get moving! I prepared Chris' Compass last night, so I'll be hand stitching that today while the kids play.

Thank you for your lovely comments ladies.

I have four blocks that need their ¼" strip and then I will start the black sashing.

The family is having lunch here today for SIL's birthday, so no time for sewing today - unfortunately.

As advertised, here is my Chris' Compass! I'll have to page back to see how the others turned out. This one was pretty easy - I had the foundation block and the corner pieces already stitched up - I just had to glue and hand sew the applique pieces. Now I'm heading back to the pinwheels and will start on Blazing Star... 9 more to go....

Great block Lara. The pale triangles surrounding the centre give it a more open feel.

I think the pale triangles gives the block a 3-D effect. It looks great. Welcome back!
