I love the Verna block, too! That was my DH's grandmother. She lived with us for a couple of years. I'm thinking of making table toppers using that block for her kids and grandkids. They all adored her so much.

I just thought old fashioned names went well with my traditonal looking quilt blocks. and easier than doing all the research and choosing names for each quilt block. I just don't want to misrepresent my work. |
I like the idea of having an old fashioned name instead of some of the block names. And if you designed it, you can name it what ever you want. And it's Rhonda's (soon to be famous) sampler. :)
