Thanks Steve, it's going with the rest of the BOMs into a guilt for my Grandson, That's why I'm using bright colours, Well actually I love brights too and the Grandson is just an excuse to go all out :P .

Shelly, that block has so much movement, it's like an optical illusion. Great choices, I am amazed.

Here is my version. I really love this block and am so glad it was chosen for us this month. I'm sure I'll be making something larger with the block later on. I got a chance to work on improving the parallelograms which always give me problems.

ALL the blocks are so kewl, ShellyQ, that boy will have to sleep with ear plugs cause that quilt is gonna be LOUD!

ShellyQ the words FARRR OUT come to mind!! Reminds me of something my sister would have worn while we were growing up. I love it!!! All the blocks are so beautiful!!!

Lillian your block is sure a contrast to Shelly's!
I love them both. I have a very split personality. I love the vibrant brights and yet pastes cerainly appeal!

Lillian, I really think that of all the blocks (including my own), yours is the one that I'd like to see with a whole quilt made up of matching blocks. It has such a classy home look, if that makes any sense. All the blocks are beautiful, true, but this one has that quality in my mind.

Now you have me wondering how on earth someone could figure out material needs on a quilt using a block like this (with repeated color scheme)?

Also I can't imagine the fortitude it would take to undergo such a project. :thumbup:

Steve, thanks so much for your kind comments. I agree it would be challenging to do a large quilt with this block but I surely do like it. On a smaller scale, I'd kind of like to borrow your idea of the 4 seasons - that was much more creative than anything I'd ever think of.

Got R Done!!! Sure wish the colors in my pics were better.... oh well...anyway, I went WESTERN! LOL Maybe it was the name of the block .. reminded me of Black Beauty....and when I came across the fabric with the little horses on them I decided to fussy cut them and put them in the corners.
