    Changed my Focus Fabric

I decided that I really did not have the focus fabric that worked well with my blocks. Went to Joannes this afternoon and found a fabric that I think will work. First pic is of the first choice from stash and the second is what I purchased today. What do you all think?

Thanks Sadiemae. I had my chief enabler with me today and I have to give her the credit for finding the fabric.

Go for the second one if you are looking for an opinion. It seems to help the others just pop right on out there.

The second one really ties them together I think.

Okay, I cut and sewed today. Of course, in the process I had to use the new ripper that DH made me. He is a woodturner and had to try something new. Name: 100_1190.JPG

Oh, someone said PARTY!!! Yes, I read it, and singing (I like country western best). Oh I like this train more and more. However, instead of ale could I have a little wine in a Diet Pepsi. Darn - gave up pop for lent - I'll have to wait until after Easter or join you with water and lemon.

I'm loving your choices...I have that same (red) fabric, but in green. And if one must rip...do it in style! Hubby did a beautiful job on the ripper!

Okay, just came back from out of town and sewed up my step 2. I did end up swapping out a couple from my original choices. My fabric patterns look sideways to me, but hopefully it won't matter in the end. Either way, my fabrics make me happy and I can't wait to see how the mystery turns out!

Always a happy thing when your fabrics are pleasing in the mix. I'm not sure how my print directions are going to look at the end of the train ride either. *Let's head on back to the club car and Stretch out our legs and have a drink while we are waiting for the next clue to this traveling mystery*
    Have an awesome day!

Either would work, but I do love the colored polka dots, so my vote goes to #2.

    My Fabric Cut!

Well thanks to the horrible weather, thunderstorms and lightening I wasn't able to be online very long last night. So I cut my fabrics for the Mystery!

I was in Hobby Lobby yesterday getting some crochet thread and as usual stopped by the fabrics. Well the brown with colorful circles on it almost jumped into my arms. I had to have it. I love color and this filled the bill! Also I knew I had complimentary fabrics that would work with this. So the brown is my focus fabric and all the colors in it are so vivid. I am hoping for an eye-catching finished product. Might even keep it for myself!

Today, I was get Step 2 done!

    Hugs,
    Cajun

CarolinS, Another vote for the spot/dots. It really pulls those colors together.

Everose, Love your B&W fabric....and the classy seamripper. It's always nice to do things with style.

Debtex, Those beautiful flowers made me smile. They're like a bouquet.
