If it's store bought, they may use lecithin to keep the almond (or soy) particles suspended.

I've never tried Almond Milk. I use Greek yogurt with honey on my cereal along with some type of berries. I like my cereal crunchy. But, I do drink a glass of regular 2% milk sometimes with my supper. I'll have to look for Almond Milk.

I use yogurt on my crunchy cereal too. I don't drink milk. Is the Greek yogurt bitter, is that why you add honey?

I got a recipe out of "Master Your Metabolism" book by Jillian Micheals. I don't like plain yogurt of any kind. You can get Greek Yogurt with honey already in it or vanilla, but I always get the plain, and then add my honey. I have a sweet tooth! I put it in a large coffee cup/mug about 1/4 the way up, add the honey & blueberries (or whatever berry you prefer) and then I usually use the organic Flax Plus Multibran by Nature's Path. I've used other types of cereal, too, but this is my favorite. I try to buy fresh berries when I can, but it's really easy to buy a bag of frozen blueberries to use. When I get up in the mornings I set the berries out to thaw while I drink my first cup of coffee. Another good breakfast recipe is to fry an egg in cooking spray and melt pepper jack cheese over it, and make a sandwich out of wheat or multibran toasted English muffins.

I love Yogurt but stopped eating it because it either has high fructose corn syrup or artificial sweeteners.

I found this on line. I don't get the fat free...I'm only using a small amount in my coffee cup (1/4 cup or less) and I don't have it every day. But, I do like it.

It can be made with sheep’s milk or goat’s milk. Some are called Greek style because they use cow’s milk

It is different from regular yogurt for two reasons:

1. Greek yogurt is a blend of cream and milk, so it has a much higher percentage of milk fat (butterfat)—any where from 4% to 10%, compared to regular whole milk yogurts that generally don’t exceed 3.5% milk fat.

2. Greek yogurt is also strained. Straining removes more water from the yogurt, making it more dense, firm and creamy.

Make sure you get 2% or fat free as regular Greek style yogurt has more calories and more fat than regular yogurt; however, it also has more protein 12 grams per 8 0z serving

I've noticed that the flavored types of yogurt with the berries already added have the high fructose corn syrup. But, I do like the taste. Stonyfield oganics have sugars added, but doesn't list corn syrup or artificial sweetners. When did eating safely & healthy get so difficult? You have to read all the labels.

I read somewhere that you can put regular yogurt in a strainer to let the extra water/milk drain out to make thicker yogurt. Would that make it the same texture as Greek yogurt, I wonder?
