Default A new twist for Tissue holders??

many products are reinvented with just minor changes. Many with new packaging..so lets try something new with tissue holders. Make a 'fun card' to go with them. Then people can buy for others, and have a laugh on them or a happy smile! Make them with football team colors & send with a card or tag. Something to the effect"You will need these to wipe your tears when your team loses" Bet those will sell!!

I sold many of them for 3.00 with tissue, I went to Staples bought a case of tissue, the more you buy the cheaper it is, I think I paid less than 20.00 for the case.

Ellageao - your ideas are super. We have had them at our quilt show boutiques off and on since 2005 - we sold the originally for $1.00 without tissues because we couldn't find inexpensive ones. I then found some and we sold the for $1.50 with tissues. The ones with bright or pretty fabrics seem to sell better - and they are also an inexpensive teacher give for the holidays. Or how about for those in assisted living - just as a nice little something. If anyone does machine embroidery, there are lots of patterns (inexpensive and more expensive) for really nice ones. Honestly, what sells at a bazaar or quilt show, one day or one year, May or may not sell the next. No rhyme or reason - but I'm definitely going to make sure we have some next year. And they are within the budget of young ones to purchase as gifts for moms, aunts, grandmas, etc.

You know one of the things I would think would sell is a tissue holder that can be used in a car. I have a tiny car and my tissue box seems to end on on the floor when I need it. I had been thinking of designing something that could attach to the vents or some knob that would keep the tissues handy. Would also be nice if it had a place to hold paper and pen. I have been thinking on it and have't come up with anything yet.

They are so much fun to make I could make dozens of them. The problem is that I only have so many family members to give them to as gifts if I can't sell them. LOL! I would also like to know what you are able to sell them for with or without the tissue included. I would appreciate your input so I don't waste any time or money on them. Happy Quilting!

I sell them for $1.50 each with tissue included and I sold about 50+ at each show last year I tell people they make great gifts for teachers, moms, grandmas, etc. I have since moved across the country so we shall see how they sell this year in my new location!! If they don't sell I'll just donate them to a church or a womens shelter or something. They are all made from scraps/leftover material and I have fun making them so its no big deal to me either way.

Velcro works wonders. When you come up with a pattern, you can attach sticky Velcro to the console and attach the other piece to the tissue holder.

I really like tissue holders with nice prints on them, a friend of mine made a few and sent them to me. I love having them in the car or in my purse, sometimes a tissue saves the day.

I made them to match a bunch of purses I made a couple of years ago. I didn't sell any purses even though everyone said they loved them. A lot of people won't pay for handmade, just depends on your area I guess.
