Anyone have this machine? I have new windows 10 . Now i can't load the soft ware .
Editor Lite V4 on to my computer . In order to send designs to my machine. Can
anyone help me? Thanks

There are pieces to the puzzle missing. More information would be helpful to finding the solution.

Do you have a compatible version of software? What error message are you getting?

How are you trying to load the software; download, zip file, or CD?

Have you previously loaded this version onto another computer? You may need a special code to allow the software to run on a different computer.

There should be a support phone number for the software. Support can help with these types of issues. If you purchased from a dealer, there may be someone that can assist you also.

I assume you are talking about using the embroidery unit. I was told that the 440 QE embroidery basic software is not compatible with windows 10. You need to call a Bernina dealer or contact Bernina directly. When I was going to get a new computer I googled information on embroidery and Window 10 (at work we had lots of Windows 10 issues when we first switched) and as a result I kept my old laptop to use with my machine. Recently I took an embroidery class and they said some of the issues had been resolved. I took the class at my LQS which is a dealer. During the class I had issues, I don't use my computer and machine very often and my computer decided to do a security update which would not allow the transfer of information from my laptop and my machine. When I got home of course every thing worked fine. Good luck.

You need to have the latest update for the Bernina Embroidery software to use Windows 10. I took my computer in and had them load the software on and it wiped out my computer. Bernina was called and said the program I had would not work so needed to buy the $1500 upgrade. Not sure if that was the cost but close.

I have the Bernina 640 w the embroidery module. I’ve had it for years. Became exclusive frustrated with the Windows updates and Bernina’s lack of support on those updates. The only answer I ever got about the updates was I would have to spend big upgrade. I love how the Bernina sews, but I bought a Brother embroidery machine and now have a Mac laptop. I use Embrilliance software, which is very reasonable and user friendly. You may want to check out Embrilliance. It will run in PC or Mac and works in all of the different formats.

I had the same problem. V4 does not work with anything later than XP. I had to find an old laptop to use. Bernina does provide a free program if you check their site. I finally went to the Floriana software...free uploads, free designs each month and so much easier to use.
