The board is switching to new software. Need your help testing.

It took 4 tries but I got logged in.
As someone else mentioned I like the "read new Messages since my last visit" feature
My preference is the old format, but I can adjust. I have DSL so speed hasn't been an issue, except for adding pictures to share.
I do keep bookmarks and check them now and then
The other thing I noticed is on this forum I can scroll down as I reply and see what else is written on the same page. (review message feature) I cannot tell you how many times I have rechecked what was written before I submitted my response. I would love to see that on the new forum.
I'm not a fan of the "pink" color
I do appreciate all the work you do to keep this board up and running smoothly
I am another that goes back and checks PM's for addresses. Though I am not near 200, I can clean them up occasionally so I don't get that many stored in there

Had no trouble logging in. Would really like to keep My Bookmarks at top of page. I skimmed through the previous messages and didn't see anything about the help button.

Sorry, I don't like the change. The text is so big, and I think I'll get a headach from looking at it. I'll just have to get use to it. Will we be able to save our bookmarks?

I cannot get in after changing to my normal password. Done this 3 times.
Thanks for all your work Admin!

Is it too hard to put the signature line over to the left?
It makes more logical sense for reading, and seems to be easier to read.
and, when special people put their little lively critters in their signature line, they are very distracting ...
I see them in the old format, but they aren't like RIGHT IN MY FACE ...!
(They seem so frantic, stuck over there like that)
Don't ask ... it might just be a "me" thing ...
but, if it isn't too much trouble, please put the signatures to the left/
THank you <wave>

But I'm not sure if placing signatures on the left side would be good for usability.
The whole point of moving them to the right is to get them out of your sight and make it easier to follow threads by scanning the posts downward.
After all, how many times can you read the same set of signatures over and over before it gets annoying?
When you encounter a new user (or a new signature), you'll probably notice it and read it. But when constantly conversing with the same set of people, you would probably just skip over their signatures, since you've read them many times before.
If the signatures are on the right-hand side, it makes it easier to skip over them to the next post in the thread.
That's why placing the signatures on the right side seems like a good idea to me.
Maybe I'm mistaking.

Is there room for a FAQ section in the future? There are certain topics (cutting strips, setting triangles, hst's, and how-to navigate the site) that get addressed at least once a month, and it would be nice if there was a locked reference section.
Not on the top of the list, or even the middle, but wanted to plant the seed.
