Butter, all the way. But, I have hardly been using it at all lately, trying to get (more than just) a few pounds off.

Butter for spreading, I do use cheap margarine for baking. I don't eat a lot of meat so my cholesterol can take some butter, I figure.

I switched to butter along time ago. Everything tastes better with butter.

Butter and Smart Balance here too. Unfortunately, sometimes I don't even need the bread to spread them on....!!!!!

Switched back to butter about 10 years ago. Younger DD claims it tastes weird but loves baked goods made with butter. Go figure! I use unsaklted as I am salt-sensitive and can taste the salt in the salted butter.

Butter for me, too! It takes a full year for the margarine you ate today to be removed from your body if you don't eat another bite of it. Margarine is just one molecule from plastic.

I never had to switch. Have used butter exclusively my whole adult life. I didn't like the taste of any of the margarines, and like others have said, there is enough chemicals in our bodies already that we don't have to add more. I also drink whole milk, when I drink a glass. It makes things a whole lot 'creamier' than 1 or 2%.
