My duchess is truly more dog than cat. She loves to have my husband pull her tail. She has trained us using specific meows for specific needs. Each night before bed she will pet my face with her !ittle paw while I scratch her ears.

I was born in a house with cats and will most likely die in a house with cats. I love all animals and have many pets and garden visitors. Most times I prefer the company of my animals to the company of people. They do however tie you down....but I haven't been a traveler for a long time now.

We have five polydactyl cats--3 inside, 2 out. All but one are black--Dac is a grey tiger stripe. I don't know what I'd do without them, though sometimes my husband and I feel a bit outnumbered!

I am certainly not a cat lover. I am allergic.

My precious Mr. Peach was abandoned in a park when he was about 5 or 6 weeks old. I found him and looked to see if there were others..didn't find any so he is an only child. He will be 7 this summer and he makes me so happy. He loves my quilts but refuses to sit in anyone's lap! He owns me!

I currently have two cat furbabies who adopted our family. BoB is a black manx who looks like a bowling ball when he sits. He came up to our front porch on my 60th birthday - the house was full of family because it was the first full family reunion we have ever had. So he is my 'Birthday Boy'. Rusty is an agouti tabby who tried to get into the church while we were having a weekly quilt meeting. Pastor is extremely allergic so he could not come in the door. He was about 6 weeks old and literally hung upside down on the window screen in the upper right corner crying until we all left. When I opened my car door he hopped in, looked around, and laid down on the passenger seat. He is now known as the 'church cat'.

Cats are nice but give me a big dog any day. We used to have cats and there were issues with using the litter box- ugh. Jonah, my avatar, is my first dog. We have a special relationship, he is with me wherever I am in the house or outside.
