Default cheer leader outfit

I made this outfit from a picture of the cheer leaders. I think I spent more time "un-sewing" than I did sewing! The next one will be easier for sure!

Cute! I have a two-year-old granddaughter for whom I plan to make doll clothes in the not-too-distant future.

Very cute! What pattern did you use?

You might want to also post a photo of your outfit over in this thread.

Oh that is so cute! Nice job! I love how you made all of the stripes.

My granddaughter wants a cheerleader outfit but the pattern she picked out (McCall's I think) has the fully pleated skirt. I just cannot work up the enthusiasm to make all of those tiny pleats.

I did not have a pattern for a "cheer leader" outfit. I started with a turtle neck T-shirt from one pattern and the skirt from another pattern. I had a picture of the real cheer leaders in their outfits (from Clarinda, IA), and went on from there. If I have a picture to start with, I can come up with something. I start with a photo of what the person wants and "make it up" as I go! However, this method does seem to involve some "un-sewing" for me!
